The Evil of Obama's Democracy

Everywhere I go, I find myself explaining to another undereducated political ostrich what Democracy is and why we are not democratic. Usually, when explaining the part about our being a Republic, these lost souls reply with "oh yeah, like in the national anthem". I realize they are talking about the pledge of allegiance but, well, at least it's a step.

The reason socialists are attracted to democracy is because it is inherently evil. Democracy is basically "mob rule", in that, the majority holds all of the power. The reason there are no democratic businesses is that they would collapse from within. If a business was run by all of its employees then the majority would inevitably vote for more money and demand that the minority take on the responsibility of meeting the budget. In time, the minority would join the majority or simply stop producing.

This is why Jefferson said that "in this republic"..."the majority must always prevail, unless it is at the expense of the minority." The problem we have today is that the majority is voting for things at the expense of the minority. Things like welfare, health care, energy, food, transportation and virtually anything else that our government can claim in the name of social justice. Not only is this anti-American but it is downright evil.. and it must be stopped.

The way I see it we have only two choices, revolt or secede. The former would involve a violent uprising against those who are working to redistribute everything through the power of the majority. This would be very bloody and would likely become a world war of sorts. It is safe to assume that the vast majority of our soldiers would come down on the "Right" side of the battle, as would much of American industry. The capitalists would probably concentrate into the middle of the nation leaving the southwest and northeast to the socialists.

The socialists would need to force themselves on the capitalists. After all, socialism breeds reliance and without the taxes of the wealthy they would need to invade. Many other socialist countries would gladly supply the left with weapons and soldiers to help overthrow the producers in the heartland. For us, the right, it would be very hard to find allies. Only a small handful of countries who rely on our productivity would stand with us so the battle would be he artful but nearly impossible to win. Regardless of the outcome, it feels better to fight to the death in the name of America than to just fold to our conquerors.

The other option, my favorite, is to secede. The left is doing everything they can to take from the rich and give to the poor. At the same time, they are working on amnesty for illegal aliens. So here's my thought.. If all of this nations producers liquidate their possessions and convert them to "tangibles" that can be kept in a protected place outside the reach of the U.S. government, then they can renounce citizenship.

Once they do this, they can take advantage of the movement towards amnesty. This would allow them to stay in the country and drain the government without contributing. With the serious drop in federal income on top of a new class of immigrants draining the social network, the federal government would be forced to fail. The American Socialist Democracy would suffer a complete economical collapse (much like Greece) and the door would be open for those who can rebuild the free market through tangibles.

This is effectively a hostile re-takeover, with no shots fired. Once the nation is back under the rule of the Constitution, we can punish those who led it astray. If you are reading this and considering me seditious then you are confused. I am patriotic, I love our country and swore to defend its fundamental document, the Constitution. It is the movement in support of the Obama doctrine that is seditious. I simply want to put the saddle back on democracy and put the American citizenry back into its rightful place.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over lousy fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world’s great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to Complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage."

Alexander Tyler, 1770

We are remarkably close to bondage.

can we be the first to break the cycle?

Republics cannot exist indefinitely either. We get the word from the Roman Empire, a republic. By definition, it can be run and voted for by a smalll aristocratic group. Everyone is not even a citizen. The average person comes to realize one day that this minority type rule is flawed as they usually make their own condition better at the expense of the majority. The glory days of Rome were a few hundred years.

America through its Constitution with amendments, has made the conscious decision, over time, to include more and more people ("by the people", remember) in the voting population. That makes it a democratic republic as opposed to an aristocratic minority republic.

The most common theme in the amandments is more voters; former slaves, women, Wash DC residents, poor (no poll tax), etc.

If you mean going back to 1790's where the minority of white, male, land owners were the only voters allowed, then you are in for a rude awakening.

I would be amused to see you appeal for support of this re-take over amoung those who you do not wish to vote. You will find just how little support you have.

America is designed to go forward, not backward.

...and in an 2nd amusing side note:

If any of you out there fancy yourself part of a grass roots militia, remember the constitution calls this to be well regulated and under federal control. So you will be called upon to help fight this re-take-over thing.

Just like the anti-tax movement in the 1790's. The common militia marched against them.

Sorry. Read more history.

The accepted reasons for the decline of the Roman Republic are that..
A. the social movement against the government was driven by perception that war profits were not being equally distributed.

B.The unlimeted terms of the rulers allowed them to amass great wealth and power.

C. The land was being claimed by the government who brought in slaves to work it, thus displacing the original owners in the name of state profit.

D. Rome used public money to create a vast empire in order to force social equality.

E. Rome was unsupportive of its soldiers so "draft dodging" became an issue and caused Rome to rely on its states militaries to enforce its laws and maintain the empire.

F.The financial burden of the broad governmental power structure led to high taxes and thus rapacious behavior by tax collectors (who would come to be known as the publicani)

All of these factors led to the revolt against the republic and the placement of a "dictator for the purpose of restoring the republic". That dictator, Ceasar, appointed himself "DICTATOR IN PERPETUO " (dictator for life) All of these factors are also consistant with the progressive movement of today, I've even heard several prominent figures suggest making Obama a short term dictator.

The reason we have a house and a senate is because our founders wanted to pit a democracy and a republic against each other, hoping that only the most noble causes would survive the battle.

The regulations on who could vote had NOTHING to do with race or gender, nor money. They were simply designed to be sure that voters were educated and white, male land owners were the only educated people of the time. I would gladly endorse a move towards voters being required to pass a basic civics test before voting.

I would also endorse a law that prevents 10 lazy bastards from voting the profits away from 9 hard workers! That, after all, was the intent of our founders.

Great - so now we have seen that neither a pure Republic or Democracy will long survive.

So we are back in 1776 when the founders realized that NO concrete system would suffice. I like your house and senate comment.

Thank god that Cheney was not able to make himself "DICTATOR IN PERPETUO" or we would be Rome indeed.

The cheney's and obama's need to fail in the light of reality.

Note that CNN reported today that Obama's endorsements are starting to come up short.

I guess I am once again re-reading my Ben Frnaklin biography - the men was right on the money.

I was concerned that my point might have been missed because, upon rereading my response, i realized that I left out the fact that all of our recent presidents are guilty.

We need to stop the democrats first because they have stated their intent to "fundamentally change" America. Then we need to prevent the republicans from fundamentally controlling America.
